About

Optimize Your Energy... and Your Savings

Save Energy... Save $

Save money with the adjustment of your energy-using devices to optimize operation around favorable electricity rates and utility programs. Additionally, by enrolling in the Duke Energy smart thermostat program, you'll receive a $75 bill credit, plus a $25 bill credit each year you participate.

Improve the Energy Grid

Your participation in this study will help utilities identify more ways
to cleanly and efficiently serve their customers’ energy needs. Participation will
take place over 24 months and will shed light on how the use of electrical appliances and equipment in homes impacts the electric “grid" and will shift energy use to occur when more clean renewable clean energy is available.

You're Always in Control

You will always maintain control of your energy using devices at

all times and can adjust your settings at any time based on your preferences.  Data collected from this study will be made anonymous so your personal information will remain confidential

among the research team.  Because of the smart equipment in your home, you may be contacted by Duke Energy or the study team during the study, with offers to participate in new Duke Energy programs, products, or services.
